The Booker-Lewis House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is located in the downtown historic district of Leesville eight miles from Fort Polk. The character and appearance of this property remains virtually unchanged from its original construction. The home features Queen Anne styling, 12-foot ceilings, an antique piano and organ, and period accents.
A complimentary breakfast is served daily. Lunch is available upon request. Features include the original windowpanes and Louisiana yellow pine that was used to create the door facings, walls, and floors. All four of the pocket doors and the light fixtures in the dining room and foyer are original.
The Officer's Quarters is a private cottage, originally built for WWII Army officers. The Streetside and Courtyard aparments are located in a fully restored 1900s building with separate entrances. The apartments feature 11-foot ceilings and antique brick walls.
